What Local People Say
- Philip Dunne MP has come out strongly against the turbine proposal saying on Midlands Today that putting them on the Jack Mytton Way is ‘the wrong place’ and will spoil the landscape around Bridgnorth for generations.
- Sarah Bury, the Shropshire President of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England has said: ‘I believe that were these turbines to be allowed in the landscape of South Shropshire – so important to the imagination of generations of artists and visitors to the area (Housman’s ‘Blue Remembered Hills’) - it would be a disaster’.
- Dr Katherine Swift, author of the Morville Hours, who lives at the Dower House in Morville says that the turbines will ruin ‘the gateway to Shropshire’ and describes the proposal as ‘unthinkable’.
